Background
Ronnie was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, a region with deep roots to cotton, tobacco, and more recently banking and NASCAR. In 1985 Ronnie relocated to Central Florida and started Independence RV. The dealership has distributed everything from pop-up trailers, travel trailers, fifth-wheels and Class A motorhomes. Independence RV has continued to improve the RV product lines to provide its customers with vehicles that span a wide range of features, amenities and price points. From the Newmar Bay Star with its full body paint to the luxury of Newmar motorhomes like the Mountain Aire, there is something for everyone. The dealership is now over 22 years in existence, and it has weathered both financial storms and Florida hurricanes without a dent or scratch.
Ronnie Jordan and Independence RV Sales and Service, Inc. have been long time members of the Recreational Vehicle Dealers’ Association for over 20 years.
When Ronnie isn’t overseeing the day to day activities of Independence RV, he enjoys watersports and adventures including boating, jet skiing, and scuba diving. His two sons keep him challenged on all of the watersports as “dad” has become the foil for water shenanigans.
Most Rewarding Customer Experience
“Many years ago, Independence RV had a customer, whose health was a bit suspect, and he suffered from poor circulation which manifested itself in constantly having cold feet. I felt such empathy for this gentleman, that on the day we were delivering his new RV, I purchased some down-lined boots. He was astounded at our generosity. Not long after, he rolled back into the dealership to share that these boots were the best thing he’d encountered for his cold feet. Needless to say, he has been a customer for a long time!”
