Retail Parts and Accessories Specialist, who can help the “do it yourselfer” with RV repairs
Mike was raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin, not far from the merging of the Black and La Crosse rivers with the mighty Mississippi. He grew up playing golf on many of the lush courses that are nestled along rivers and lakes of the old northwest territory - sport he still enjoys playing year-round in Central Florida. The lures of La Crosse couldn’t hold Mike’s interest and he joined the U.S. Army.
Mike’s pre-Independence RV career has included technical and parts support for Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
About as close as Mike gets to the frigid temperatures of Wisconsin is with the Norcold basement freezer that he orders for convenient placement on the RV basement storage tray.
Military Service
Mike served two years in the U.S. Army as a Hawk Missile Crewman. A good portion of his service time was spent in Schweinfurt, Germany with the 3rd Battalion / 7th ADA.
Most Rewarding Customer Experience
“Whether I’m looking for a special part for a 2002 Newmar Dutch Star or a 2005 Holiday Rambler Endeavor, it’s always fun to be able to find the unique RV parts that the customer needs. I truly enjoy receiving a note or letter from a customer, who comments on the great service I’ve provided.”
Philosophy in dealing with RV Customers
“I try to be efficient by knowing our in-stock inventory, as well as where to find a non-inventoried motorhome part or 5th wheel part among several suppliers. I think they appreciate my thoroughness in helping them find the solution to their problem.”
