In early 1985, in a small one-acre leased facility on East Colonial Drive in
Orlando, Florida, Ronnie Jordan opened Independence RV Sales & Service, Inc.
With a staff of only six, the parts and service departments operating out of a
storage shed, and the service coaches under a lean-to off the back of the building,
Independence RV began representing their first high line motor home manufacturer,
with only seven to ten units in inventory.
Because of their outstanding business philosophy of fair and honest customer
service, the company grew and began adding midline manufacturers to their inventory
of motor homes.
In late 1988, their effort to expand by acquiring the adjoining property proved
insufficient and by early 1989, after just four years of operation, Independence RV
opened their current five-acre headquarters in Winter Garden. With a large service
building, expanded parts department and plenty of room for inventory, Independence
RV was able to include travel trailer and eventually fifth wheel representation in
their repertoire.
Now, after 15 years, Independence RV represents 8 manufacturers and over 23
brands and has emerged as one of the largest RV dealerships in Florida.
