New Canyon Star Class A Front End Diesel Motorhomes Available Exclusively in 39 ft. Lengths
The new 2024 Newmar Canyon Star Luxury Class A front end diesel motorhome is available in two 39 ft. models with a “garage” or a “garage with patio” floor plan. The Canyon Star is exclusively built on a Freightliner MC 32,000 lbs. chassis. All 2024 Canyon Stars are equipped with a Cummins B6.7 Liter 340HP front end diesel engine. The Allison 2500MH 5-Speed automatic transmission complements the powertrain. The Canyon Star motorhome offers a one-piece molded fiberglass roof, 5/8” foam and hung fiberglass Polar Pak R19 batten insulation in the sidewalls and ceiling as standard. Home construction techniques like vertical studs every 16” on-center are found in aluminum-frame sidewalls and roof construction with gelcoated fiberglass exterior sidewalls, front and rear caps.

Paint Schemes
The 2024 Canyon Star is presented in three Full-Masterpiece Finish paint schemes, each with Clearcoat finish. The full complement of exterior color schemes includes “Devon,” “Havant,” and “Truro.” Each exterior design and color combination is unique with plenty of highway eye-appeal.

New Highlights for the 2024 Canyon Star by Newmar
View selected highlights of new features, upgrades, and options for Newmar’s 2024 Canyon Star front-end diesel motorhome.
- A new steering column with telescoping steering wheel has been added to the Canyon Star for the 2024 model year.
- Freightliner’s “Optiview” glass dash replaced the instrumentation previously offered.
- The transmission shifter pad has been replaced with controls located on the stalk next to the steering wheel, similar in location to other Freightliner chassis.
- The brake exhaust and wiper switch controls have been relocated from the dash to the steering column.
- The headlight control switch on the Freightliner front engine diesel chassis has a new style.’
- For 2024, the Canyon Star has a new exterior graphic design in three color combinations.
- There was a running change to replace the baggage seals to match those now on the Dutch Star – no more slamming of basement doors.
- A new interior décor option entitled “Excelsior” is introduced in 2024.
- The former “Bellona” and “Hyannis” décor packages have been carried over for 2024, but the names have been changed to “Sherbrooke” and “Capilano,” respectively. These two décor packages have been modified with new vinyl tile flooring designs resulting in the name changes.
- The driver console has been redesigned due to the transmission shifter pad being eliminated.
- The charging port in the dash area provides USB and USB-C connections.
- The former option for two 13.5 BTU air conditioners, an 8.0 kW generator and EMS (Option H140) is now a standard feature for the 2024 model year.
- The 40” X 30” showers in both Canyon Star floor plans will offer new fiberglass designs – the same as those used in other Newmar brands.
- Due to the change in fiberglass shower design, the shower door has also been changed to the style used in other Newmar brands.
Option Changes
- A new vinyl plank flooring material will be offered to coordinate with the “Glacier” cabinetry woodgrain.
- The optional Winegard Traveler satellite dish will provide an automatic stow feature. The dish will automatically stow whenever the parking brake is released.

With Williamsburg furniture, it’s easy to get some rest and relaxation after a long day adventuring. Custom wall sconces and luxury vinyl tile flooring are throughout the coach. The kitchen makes refueling easy—and is fun and fashionable with a choice of wrapped or hardwood cabinets featuring soft-close drawers and hinges. The appliance suite includes a 30” Convection Stainless Steel Microwave with Tri-Burner Gas Cooktop and Piezo Ignition. Dual 13.5M Penguin™ air conditioners are standard with 15M units available as an optional upgrade on select floor plans.
